Transmission is another dimension of my practice that currently gives me the most meaning. During my training I was fortunate enough to work alongside generous and brilliant mentors and artists such as Peader Kirk and Sammy Metcalfe. I feel committed to sharing the practices I’ve learned, alongside those of my own creation, which is at the same time a highly desirable way for me to continue learning. Drawing on my experience and interests, I teach workshops and coordinate encounters that delve into notions, practices, and techniques of immersion, liminality, diversity, and accessibility.

Monograph on Alternative Stage Formats

Theory and Practice

This is an intensive workshop that explores live art formats in which the fourth wall disappears and the audience is immersed within the piece, becoming participants, accomplices, and in many cases protagonists. Throughout the monograph, participants will be able to learn and put into practice the logic, structures, and ethics inherent to these formats. We will learn to work with and for “the other” by exploring immersive, one-on-one devices, and creating live installations that reinvent the relationships between space, audience, and performer. This workshop is designed for performing arts creators who wish to explore new staging formats. For more information, please request the dossier.

Weaving the Threshold

Performing Arts Practice and Anthropology

A transdisciplinary R&D workshop-laboratory that explores artistic production through the different modes of perception offered by the sensitive material of our bodies. We will work both individually and in groups using a series of anthropological notions and performing practices to create liminal dramaturgies, test relational tools, and develop new creative strategies from an accessible perspective, discovering how by focusing on diversity we can open up a whole new dimension of creative possibilities. This workshop-laboratory is aimed at artists with a special interest in mediation, accessibility, the participatory, and experiential work, who wish to explore new perspectives and tools to develop their artistic and social processes. For more information, please request the dossier.

Ethics and Commitment in Relational Art

Discussion

This discussion is articulated by a series of principles I have developed into a guide for a better and more equitable development of our participatory and collaborative practices with communities, audiences, and the environment. How can we undertake a more honest mediation project? How can we share our proposals in more accessible ways? How can we approach a collaboration with the community that avoids instrumentalization? How can we develop projects that promote social change without compromising their artistic quality? This discussion is aimed at those who wish to develop creatively but who, in a special way, wish to influence social transformation through more responsible artistic practices. Out-Of-The-Box - Biosociocultural Transfers

A Brief Workshop for Cultural Managers and Artists

This is a reflective and practical workshop in which to analyze the levels and models of accessibility, responsibility, and commitment that our projects champion. We will engage in a series of shifts between the artistic-cultural, environmental, and social dimensions that comprise our immediate context, and discover which concrete strategies we can develop to situate our practices and programs within a more pluralistic framework. This workshop is aimed at cultural managers, artists, and mediators who wish to imagine new possibilities for their projects, enriched by more attentive perspectives, driven by a more perceptive and egalitarian mutual recognition.
